ACSA honors four from SCCOE
SAN JOSE, CA – Four employees of the Santa Clara County Office of Education have been honored by the local region of the Association of California School Administrators.
ACSA annually announces awards for significant contributions to education. In addition to state-level awards, the group also honors individuals on a regional basis. Santa Clara County makes up ACSA's Region 8.
Categories and SCCOE honorees include:
- Classified Manager: Phil Benfield, senior network engineer
- Special Ed Administrator: Laurene Beto, principal
- Pupil Personnel Administrator: Ana Trujillo, director, Head Start
- Curriculum & Instruction: Yee Wan, multilingual coordinator
"We're very proud of this group," said Dr. Charles Weis, Santa Clara County Superintendent of Schools, and statewide president of ACSA. "They work hard on behalf of the schools and students we serve in the county, and this recognition is richly deserved."
The four will be honored at the ACSA Region 8 Annual Awards Ceremony and Dinner on May 19 at the Silver Creek Country Club in San Jose.
