Event focuses on technology in teaching
SAN JOSE, CA – Bernie Trilling, global director for the Oracle Education Foundation, will be the keynote speaker at "My 21st Century Classroom", an event focusing on 21st -century teaching, on April 22 at the Santa Clara County Office of Education.
The event, presented by the Google, the Technology for Learning Partnership and the COE, will combine presentations, hands-on training, and a vendor technology showcase, all in support of teaching in today's classrooms.
Special focus will be on the use of interactive whiteboards, student response systems, document cameras and netbooks.
Trilling, who is the co-author of 21st Century Skills: Learning for Life in Our Times, formerly was a director for the Technology in Education group at WestEd, a national educational laboratory. There he led a team in integrating technology into the instructional and administrative segments of education.
