LPC Committees
LPC Co-Chairs: Cathy Boettcher and Lori Burns
- Executive Committee: This Committee is made up of
the LPC Co-Chairs and the Chairs of the LPC sub-committees. Their charge is to
create the agendas of all LPC meetings and take action on any pertinent ECE
issues in the county and statewide.
- Inclusion Collaborative: Supports the full
participation of children with special needs, and provides a range of support
services for parents, providers, and children. Develop various trainings and
publications related to serving children with special needs. Chair: Cathy
Andrade
- Legislative and Advocacy: Informs and makes
recommendations regarding current state and national legislation that affects
children and their families. Reviews current state/federal legislation related
to Early Care and Education and recommends action. Chairs: Paul Miller and
Lisa Lewis
- Quality Improvement System (QIS) Committee:
Researches various QIS models in Santa Clara County & make recommendations to
child care providers. Will also align work with the California Department of
Education, Early Learning Quality Improvement System Committee. Chair: Lori
Burns
- Dual Language Learner (DLL) Committee: Convenes
stakeholders to discuss and assess Dual Language Learner needs and identify
best practices in teacher education and program development. Chair: Sheryll
Ebbs
- Membership & Support Committee: Recruits and
matriculates new members and implements strategies that promote a consistent
and unified membership. Facilitates the annual LPC Member Elections. Chair:
Julie Kurtz
- Child Care Facilities Committee: Implements the
‘solutions’ of the Economic Impact of ECE report. Chair: Cathy Boettcher
