A.L.L. is designed to build instructional leadership and teacher efficacy. It supports effective implementation of English Language Development (ELD) and Specially Designed Academic Instruction in English (SDAIE) in the content areas. A Look at Learning professional development has extensive tools, facilitator guides and video resources aligned to California Standards for the Teaching Profession that address effective instruction in four focus areas: Learning Environment, Planning, Applying Best Teaching and Learning Strategies, and Using Assessment for Differentiation.

English Learner Professional Development Modules

This series of PoDules is created by the coaches at Campbell Elementary School District using a compilation of resources. These PoDules are intended to provide customized and differentiated professional development for classroom teachers. The members of the English Language Acquisition Consortium (ELAC) in Santa Clara County are grateful for the coordinated effort and valuable contributions from Campbell Union Elementary School District.

For more information about the A Look at Learning system and how to participate or see a demonstration of its implementation, please contact the Coordinator of Multilingual Programs, Yee Wan, Ed.D. at yee_wan@sccoe.org. or call (408) 453-6825. Participation in this program requires a license fee and a memorandum of understanding between Santa Clara County Office of Education and the implementing county or district office.
